Nice photography theme…
I liked that transparency used……

Steven Snell July 12th, 2012

Thanks Koby!

Adem July 12th, 2012

Wondering why there is no Tweet button on the page? It’s a great theme I’d like to share.

Steven Snell July 12th, 2012

Adem,
The Twitter and Facebook buttons were removed recently because they load kind of slow. It may not be a permanent change, just kind of checking to see if people even use the buttons. You can still share it on Twitter without the button, although it does take a little more work. Thanks for the feedback on both the theme and the Twitter button.

awesome theme with the high usability!

Steven Snell July 13th, 2012

Thanks Julia!

Cheers for this really useful blog post with a great oversized wordpress theme. The supersized themes are extremely popular at the moment and as long as you have the quality imagery for the background your website is guaranteed to look great. The theme showcased is extremely simplistic and could work well for a number of different types of companies.

Excellent theme. Thanks.

Cody Davis August 20th, 2012

Is there any way to make the portfolio galleries full page sliders like the homepage? If so it would be awesome.

Steven Snell August 21st, 2012

Cody,
Not without editing the theme files.

Ivan Tonov October 20th, 2012

Very nice photography theme…
I have one question
Where are the font on navigation panel how can i change it? With childe theme? What exatctly file i have to change?

Steven Snell October 21st, 2012

Ivan,
Fonts would have be to changed in the style.css file, or with a child theme.

Marita November 6th, 2012

Very nice theme! Is it possible to time the homepage slideshow or make it stop when browsing the other sections of the site?

Steven Snell November 6th, 2012

Marita,
You can edit the “slideshow pause time” in the “slideshow options” section of the theme options. Setting a higher number there will increase the pause between slides, meaning it will move slower.

Marita November 6th, 2012

Great thanks! It really is a spectacular looking theme!

Dipo December 13th, 2012

Hi Steven, thanks a lot for this wonderful theme,I have come across many but fell in love with your’s the moment i saw it,however i could’t get my widget to function, they just didjnt appear, how do i go about this please?
Dipo

Steven Snell December 14th, 2012

Hi Dipo,
This theme doesn’t have any areas that are coded to use widgets. You would have to make some changes to the theme files.

Nils December 27th, 2012

Hello Steven,
I really like your theme and trying to help my doughter in law to set up a site. We have not much experiance of WordPress and have problem to get the tagline visible on the page.
Nils

Steven Snell December 27th, 2012

Hi Nils,
The tagline is not coded to appear anywhere on this theme. In order to include the tagline on the site you would need to edit the theme files according to wherever you want it to appear.

wow that’s beautiful teme, thanks

Matthijs February 22nd, 2013

He Steven,

I think this is an awesome theme!

I love the transparency you used and was wondering; is there a way to also use that transperancy for the background of the articles and pages (that are now white), with a different opacity maybe ?

Thanks

Matthijs February 22nd, 2013

And another question; your “home” in the demo-site is empty; so no empty (ugly) white background when you enter the website.

I don’t seem te be able to get that in my site; how did you do that ?

Steven Snell February 22nd, 2013

Matthijs,
You need to set the home page to use the “home” template. Please refer to the theme documentation as it explains the process. For the transparency issue, that would require customizing the theme.

jorn February 23rd, 2013

I like the theme, I will try it now to check

klaas March 2nd, 2013

Love the theme, very basic but nice

anyway to add social media icons like facebook, vimeo etc?

Steven Snell March 4th, 2013

klaas,
The theme doesn’t have any social media integration, but you could add the button code manually or use one of the many WordPress plugins for social media.

Brian March 17th, 2013

Hello,

Very nice theme, but I can’t seem to adjust one thing.

Is it possible to stop the slideshow when in the galleries section? So when you’re viewing thumbnails and lightbox images, there aren’t bigger ones still loading and sliding around in the background?

Juliet March 18th, 2013

Very wonderful theme, I love it. Thank you.

Steven Snell March 18th, 2013

Hi Brian,
You would have to customize the theme for that change.

Md. Abdul Awal March 23rd, 2013

Hey,
Obviously great photography. Very fantastic theme.
Thanks.

Peggy April 4th, 2013

Lovely theme, thank you! I need to add captions to the photographs (so they show up on the gallery page thumbnails); any possibility of getting a line of code to plunk into the stylesheet for this?

Steven Snell April 5th, 2013

Hi Peggy,
You’d have to customize the theme to do that. Our support is limited to helping people get the theme set up and working as it is intended to be used, and unfortunately we’re not able to help with customizations like this.

Melike April 29th, 2013

wonderfull theme, thank you. i wonder if we can add logo instead of site title?

Steven Snell April 29th, 2013

Melike,
Yes, you can.

Bec April 29th, 2013

Hi, just wondering what the recommended size is for the full screen photos on the home page and is this theme responsive? Thanks

Steven Snell April 30th, 2013

Hi Bec,
No, it is not responsive. I would recommend a size of about 1000 – 1500 pixels in width for the photos.

bossie May 9th, 2013

Hi, very nice theme, have a couple of friends who want to use it. When i use the nextgen plugin for picture galleries, the slideshow of nextgen refused to work. Any idea?

bossie

Steven Snell May 9th, 2013

Hi Bossie,
The theme includes its onn slideshow and gallery functionality, so it is not intended to be used with any plugins for galleries or slideshows.

Pavel May 14th, 2013

Hi,

Can you help me please to activate widgets in this theme because I’m not a tech specialist.

I read a lot of general information about that but don’t understand anything :)

It’s very important for me.

Thank you in advance.

Steven Snell May 14th, 2013

Pavel,
This theme doesn’t use widgets. Because it uses a fixed sidebar, using widgets would not work if the widget content in the sidebar stretched below the bottom of the user’s screen.

Eugene May 15th, 2013

Hello Steven,

very nice theme.
I was just wondering if it’s possible to add more pages/section to the ones in your demo and if it’s possible to set a different background for each page.

Thanks

Steven Snell May 15th, 2013

Hi Eugene,
With WordPress you can create as many pages as you want. The theme does not allow you to set different backgrounds for specific pages. If you wanted to do that you would need to customize the theme.
