Thanks for including the Simple PayPal cart and the Affiliate Platform plugin in this nice list.
Thank you for posting a link to http://www.PHPurchase.com If anyone needs any help setting up a WordPress ecommerce site just let me know. Happy to help any way I can. PHPurchase has some great features including the ability to sell recurring payments and subscriptions as well as digital and physical products.
Awesome themes for an online store, some really quite cheap for what they offer. Thanks
A huge thumbs up for the furniture store theme from Sarah Neuber – the amount of work and attention to detail that has gone into this theme is astounding.

Nice list, really like the furniture store….
all are good..but wanted to see more on the free side…
Sachin,
There really aren’t many good options that are free when it comes to ecommerce on WordPress. A good ecommerce theme or plugin is going to take a lot of development time, something that most designers/developers aren’t going to do for free. You’ll get a much better product if you’re willing to spend a small amount of money.
amazing showcase about e-commerce websites based on wordpress open source.
Thank you for the list.
I have tried most the free ones, and YAK for WordPress was the best one for my needs. They have an active community and it seems to be expanding with each update.
Thanks for sharing this, great stuff, I wish we had more free stuff listed there, I’ll give crafty cart a shot. kudo
very nice congratulations !!!
very nice!!!
I just spent the past 5 days download and experimenting with all the different cart programs for WordPress for a clients website I’m working on. WP e-Commerce Plugun is ok, but it’s missing some real simple basic functions, like being able to do custom meta pulls, that really makes it unusable once you realize it’s gone. After I spent the past week downloading, installing, and testing different cart plugins, I can safely say that the best cart program that I found is PHPurchase. It’s not a free plugin, but if you want to save yourself from having to pull your hair out ever five mins like I did with the other programs, they are the best. What makes the software great is that they actually use WordPress’s built in post and page system to help drive the products, so the cart is truly an overlay for WordPress instead of the Products page being driven by the cart program. For instance, with WP e-commerce, your only allowed to have one custom thumbnail image. If you want to use 2 or more images, you have to upgrade to the “Gold” package which I think is incredibly stupid. That and the no way to put in custom meta and being able to do a custom call from the template is extremely frustrating. With PHPurchase, I can create my products as a post, plugin my images, use my Amazon A3 images using custom meta calls, and about 50 thousand other things because they are using WordPress post functions, then just a the Add to Cart button and your good to go. Try it. If you don’t like it, they do have a 60 day refund. I just purchased it a few days ago and my clients website was cart ready in just 24 hours. It also integrates with PayPal Standard, Pro, and Express. Just plug in your info and go.
Thank you very much for that wonderful presentaion. All are good, I did learn alot. Keep it up!
Congrats! more more! keep it up!

Great post, as usual! Cheers for the great selection!
Thank you — I love wordpress and it’s very useful to see a list of reasonable but not free commerce related themes. Thanks.
A but late to the party, but I’d like you to try DukaPress – http://www.dukapress.org – lots of people tell us (I’m one of the developers) good things about it, specifically that it is very capable compared to the rest.
Give it a try.
I love trade and i love E – commerce.
Thanks for sharing
Excellent post, I’m just in the process of looking at the various wordpress e commerce options and this article will really help. Reading Charles Terry’s post I think I’ll take a look at PHPurchase first. Thanks for sharing.
I can also recommend PHPurchase. I bought a copy and it’s simple to use and in my opinion it gives you more versatility than the other popular ecommerce plugins.
This is a brilliant post and some good alternatives to some of the other expensive ecommerce platforms out there.
Great post, thanks! I knew about some of these ecommerce plug-ins, but you showed me some new ones too. As usual Vandelay, you’re a great resource. THanks
I just finished a website using the Jewelry Shop Template – myfabpins.com Its easy to install, and TONS of features to use. I highly recommend this template because the documentation that comes with it is quite abundant and tech support is really great.
