It’s been a busy week here (with more than 40,000 visitors in 4 days) and with all the new subscribers I wanted to point out a few things. First, this blog uses the DoFollow Plugin to remove nofollow tags from links on comments. I value your participation, so I am happy to give a real link to those who comment. Your feedback is always appreciated.
Also, on weekends I post weekly links, which include links to several readers who have been commenting that week. So please participate and I’ll try to reward you for it.

Thanks for the links and for the mention of my current contest. I appreciate it. Happy blogging!

No problem Tay. I probably shouldn’t mention the contest if I want to win, but I couldn’t do that to you

Very innovative, something I haven’t heard of before - it seems like a win-win for all. I’ll try that on my blog…thanks for the links too!

Glad to have helped out. So would you say it was a successful blogging event?
15 Vandelay Design Sep 15, 2007 at 7:01 pm
Adam,
Yes, I would say it was successful from my perspective. I don’t think it brought a ton of traffic that wouldn’t have come otherwise. But it did give each of us links from 4 other blogs throughout the week and some exposure to new readers. It really didn’t require much additional work. We all probably would have written the same articles if they weren’t part of the series (since we all post on a consistent basis), so all we really had to do was coordinate a little bit. John (from SiteFever) had the suggestion of reporting stats from the series at the end of next week, which I think we’ll do. I think it’s something I would try again in some way or another. If nothing else it’s a great networking opportunity with other bloggers.

Interesting on the nofollow, I like the idea of rewarding only the best commenters to avoid comment spam
17 Vandelay Design Sep 17, 2007 at 9:05 pm
I haven’t really had a major issue with spam comments, so I haven’t needed to do that. Thanks for your input!
