Magic 3D Photoshop Action
Published in Free Resources, ToolsToday we have a free Photoshop Action for easily creating 3D effects. The action was created by Damian Watracz for the readers of the Vandelay Design blog. With the help of the action you can easily give 3D effects to layers, vector shapes, and text.
Damian has also created a video to demonstrate how to use the action.

Which photoshop version I need to run these actions?

I know it works in CS4 and CS5. I can’t say for previous versions. If that is what you’re using you’ll just have to try it and see if it works.

No, I have not tested it in CS3 but actions sometimes don’t work in older versions.

Nice psd 3d action file
Brilliant action code, thanks for this. I’m having some issues as the 3D thickness of the resulting text looks rather huge. Am I doing something wrong, however when I load the demonstration psd the end result for 3D thickness is perfect. Can someone help?

It works like a charm. But now my question is, what happens if you want to create it from a different angle. Let’s say instead of viewing from the top, maybe I want to view it from the side. Currently, I’m having trouble with that.
