Strikes me that SMO is very much a speciality that needs a lot of attention to be done well. You can’t just drop in, make a little bit of effort, and expect much of a reward.

Hmm, guess that’s pretty much true of SEO in general, only seems even more so with SMO?

Fanstastic post. I agree that SMO is much better from a branding and relationship standpoint. Look at people like Ryan Leslie and Gary Vaynerchuk.
