vSlider: A Versatile jQuery Slider for Our Subscribers
Published in Site NewsUPDATE: We’re sorry, vSlider is no longer available due to a lack of time to provide support and update the files. You can find other jQuery sliders here.
jQuery sliders are one of the most common elements used by web designers right now. If you use them frequently in your projects there are probably a few plugins/scripts that you tend to use, or maybe you have developed your own. If you’re looking for a versatile, functional jQuery slider plugin to use in your projects you may be interested in vSlider.
vSlider was developed by Abhin Sharma especially for subscribers of our weekly newsletter. Everyone who subscribes to the newsletter will receive a download link in the confirmation email. vSlider includes 10 different transition effects that you can choose from, optional captions for images, optional controls, and it is fully documented (a PDF) to help make customization as easy as possible. You’re free to use vSlider for personal or commercial projects, including templates/themes.

nice going to sign up!
That is a cool transition. Thanks!
Thanks guys, I hope it is useful for you.
I try.. I hope. A nice J-Query. A good transition. Nice work.
Very cool transition.
sweet thanks, although i thought i was already signed up?
Now don’t get me wrong as I use jquery all the time but there are soo many sliders out there now that the market is getting a bit crowded.
An I do like this one – it does look well but when it comes to UX I still thnk that there are so many customers who don’t wait for the transition or just want to click (and often it can be the back button).
Now I am going to do the necessary to download this slider but finding it for a project is the hard part. I think it is a ‘keep on the back burner and use for that specific request’ type of project.
How would you use it for a project – ??
Apologies for sounding a bit negative but I really don’t mean to but where can we go next with dynamic imagied sliding images?
Thank you. Quite a useful resource. I saved the information repository.
Thank you but what about those who are already among subscribers? Nothing? But the matter is not in this.
Web world seems has gone mad with these endless dizzy sliders. Today a website is not a website if it does not display a slider. Sliders are everywhere, they are mandatory and they yet start play automatically whether you want or not. Yes, you can stop it manually, but they always obligatory start to play as soon as you enter a website. Especially those with masses effects type Nivo (which is awfully popular and awfully irritating for people with a weak vestibular system).
The slider you offer to download in exchange for email address is very well done, thank you for the job. But I am 100% agree with Kieran’s comment above, just i would emphasize: not market is getting a bit crowded but market is getting too much crowded with sliders.
Subscriber,
Current subscribers did get access to it. It was featured at the beginning of our newsletter just before this post was published. We made sure everyone who subscribed to our weekly newsletter got access to it. If you don’t like the automatic scrolling effects you can change those settings easily with vSlider. You can set it so it only slides when the user chooses to slide it manually.
Kieran,
You’re right that there are a lot of sliders out there. The reason we chose to have this slider developed is because despite the fact that there are a lot out there already people are still looking for versatile slider scripts. Whether it’s free scripts or commercial scripts, there is a strong demand. We wanted to release a resource that our visitors will like and use, and I can tell you that it has been downloaded a lot already.
I can’t tell you how to use it for a project because it could be used for just about any project. Portfolio sites, churches, schools, corporate sites all use sliders, some more effectively than others.
Nice animate your header or manage…..Veryyyy cool.
Great slider, quite unusual. Thanks for sharing
