I love die cuts, used to use them all the time when i was a club promoter. Now that I’m a student (web design), I’d love to have a die cut business card, it’ll force me to actually design a business card, since i’ve never had one, and designing a business card is part of the course work in one of my design classes.

  • Jon, October 28, 2009

    Enter me!

  • Mat Carpenter, October 28, 2009

I’ve been meaning to get some business cards printed since I launced my new business around 5 months ago. Last time I had some business cards printed at some random printing joint here in Australia the quality was terrible and the minimum order quantity was 2,000 which was ridiculous. I’d use these cards to hand out to potential customers opposed to saying “I’d give you my contact details .. if I could afford to.”

  • Big Buddy, October 28, 2009

I’d like to get new business cards to go with the new logo that is currently getting designed. Thanks for the giveaway!

  • Steve Platt, October 28, 2009

Thanks for oppty to enter for your 500 card offer. As a guy in job transition I would love to share your story and to see my mission: Lead with Integrity – Deliver Positive Impact Every Day.” on the reverse on your beautifully designed card. Change the world through conversation and engagement. – All the best,
    Steve

  • kathy weller, October 28, 2009

I would love to be entered! I desperately need new bus cards but I have not had a chance to redesign them. This would light the fire under my butt to do it. Not to mention, I am in the process of reinventing my business, so this would be a perfect frosting on the cake!

I love UPrinting. After hearing about them on the Chickengirl Design blog when she had a giveaway earlier this year, I tried them out. I did not win Chickengirl Design’s contest, but I tried out UPrinting, and they did not disappoint. They printed a beautiful poster of my illustration, and it won First Place Juried & Third Place People’s Choice in the poster contest at the annual New England Society Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (NESCBWI) Conference this year.

  • Derrick Young, October 28, 2009

I could really use new business cards. Just opened up a new studio and so much funds went into the studio that I have only been able to get some crappy 4/4 cards that are awful

  • Meagan Young, October 28, 2009

I am a photography student in College and could use some cards to promote myself as I graduate

  • Kevin Donnigan, October 28, 2009

I want to enter this contest! Reason being: I decided I wanted to open my freelance business during college. I made a website (anythinggraphic.net) and recently have gone, and still going through, a really big learning curve in the field of graphic design. I recently redesigned my website under a different name—KDzyne. I’m sticking with this name now. Although I just recently redesigned, I am implimenting an new design, one with which I am going to stick with. My old business cards are going to be obsolete soon. This prize would help me out A LOT. Die-cut cards is something I’ve always wanted. Cool factor, professional, eye-catching… so many reasons!

I am still attending class and have a full-time job other than my freelance graphic design business, so the budget to get something as cool as die-cut business cards is not in my budget. This, along with the right marketing plan and gain in clients, would allow me to keep a nice stack of business cards on hand later on

    :-)

  • Tasha, October 28, 2009

  • Ryan Bruce, October 28, 2009

I’d love to be entered into this giveaway. I’ve used Uprinting on a couple of occasions for projects and the quality of their work is great.

The die cut business card would make a great impression on potential clients, and I work freelance under my business name. ooh ooh pick me for the UPrinting die-cut cards. Don’t laugh but I actually tried to make them myself. It is harder than you think. Die-cuts are so great – they really stand out for trade shows, workshops, mailers and as regular business cards, but better.

  • Craig E, October 28, 2009

    CARDS PLEASE!!!

I will use these cards to put the finishing touch on one of my many secret identities. This particular alias is a designer by trade, therefore having die cut cards is an important detail. NO SECRET IDENTITY IS COMPLETE WITHOUT A BUSINESS CARD.

  • mark, October 28, 2009

Very cool promo. What would I use the cards for? Well, I would primarily use them to give people a means to contact me. This way, they’d have my contact information in their wallet, ready at any time. But seriously, this would be great for me as I’ve completely rebranded since my last card run. Thanks!

  • pendar, October 28, 2009

I’ve just ran out of business cards and want to print more, this is perfect timing.

  • miklb, October 29, 2009

Who doesn’t like winning stuff? Consider me entered. If I were to win, I could shut down those annoying emails that I allow to continue from another printer hawking free cards. I thought if I allowed them to continue, it would motivate me to design new cards, but alas, no new design.

  • isaac, October 29, 2009

I could really use the biz cards! Please enter me in the drawing. Thank you and I love your site keep up the great work!

  • Nick Yeoman, October 29, 2009

I find Business Cards are the second most efficient way to promote my services. (Word of mouth being the first. Twitter and facebook coming in dead last).

I’ve been printing my own business cards on my home printer so I only get 10 at a time. I like to perfect the design often. I’m not like most of you who through business cards out to anyone who will take one (seems like the hooker card strategy used in vegas). I give a $10 per hour discount if someone mentions they received my card. This can add up to hundrends of dollars so I only give out my card to people I know I’m going to get business from.

This strategy gives me about a 50% return rate. It would be nice to have 250 more clients, I’d have to incorporate.

  • Juliane, October 29, 2009

Hi. Sign me up, please! My husband and friends and I just finished a teeny lil’ indie film, and as part of our marketing it would be GRAND to have business cards to pass out…esp for our festival run! Also very excited at the prospect of using a printer that is so ecologically responsible. Fingers crossed, candles lit and eyelashes blown (with eyes closed, of course!)…

    P.S. Our movie’s at http://www.fuguethefilm.com.
P.P.S. Thanks for loads of great tips, Vandelay!

  • Vassileios Mastorostergios, October 29, 2009

My partner and I are at the stage of planning a new business where 500 die-cut cards from UPrinting would be exactly what we need.

I’ve already thought of some fun ways to design the card to incorporate the different cuts UPrinting offers. The leaf-shaped business card UPriniting offers sounds especially cool!

Really enjoy your blog! Incredibly informative. I’m about to launch a spin-off business of my web development service, so this contest for business cards is certainly timely. Yes… please enter me in the contest. And keep the excellent posts coming. Cheers!

I’m only days away from kicking off a custom apparel shop, and these cards will really REALLY help me promote it. UPrinting does killer work, and I’m happy to win anything from those guys!

Sign me up, if it ain’t too late :)

I’m currently working on a show for a non-profit organization and we had the idea to use business card format as flyer to promote the show ! This way people will keep it with them instead of throwing it on street. So let’s give it a try :)
