Two most important imho things are:
- clean, light code
- unique text
- low time of script generating
- good hosting

Good advice, I would add to the list with – keeping a strong, targeted and search term based, theme across a site, this is very important for competitive arenas.

Wow – This is a great post.

As you mentioned Title’s i’d like to give an effective site title tip..

Title your Pages “PageName | Sitename”

This continuity seems to do really well for my sites and helps them rank for “Sitename” without building any links with the anchor text “Sitename”.

yes, a website should be search engine friendly so that it can get top pagerank in major searchengines and to get good results we need to follow all the rules.
