UPrinting has offered to give away 5 prizes of 1,000 business cards to readers of the Vandelay Design blog! If you’re not familiar with UPrinting, they have been a printing leader for over 25 years and they offer a very wide variety of quality printing services, including business cards, brochures, calendars, menus, posters, postcards, envelopes, and more.UPrinting offers convenient ordering for business cards. Their site includes a pricing calculator that allows you to choose all of the size, stock, color, and quantity so you can see the price before even getting started. Shipping costs can also be calculated.
To avoid bad prints, UPrinting offers a free file review option before any payment has been made. They will review your file for technical errors that could cause potential problems with the printing.

I am a recent graduate and trying to get my foot in the door in the games industry as an artist. It would help me if I could get free business cards (I already have a design that I made) to hand out to people and promote myself as a freelance artist.

I’m all about new, creative ideas.
If I won this contest, not only would I keep them handy for the generic “here’s my card” use, I would like to take some creative photography with them: my current idea is to use a bunch of them together to spell the word “Idea” out on the ground and take an aerial shot. It would be my signature image to promote myself as a brand.
Of course, I’d probably come up with about a hundred other interesting ways to display or use them, that is just the first thing that came to my head that I could use a 1,000 business cards for.

I’d like to enter; I’m the lead developer of a website that gathers sportfishing information about large freshwater predators for the purposes of scientific data analysis. We don’t have a huge budget, but cards would help me promote the endeavor to local sport fishermen.

I would love to enter this contest. Other than using the business cards for handing out to people far and wide so that they will fall in love with me and want to give me money I would also use them to attach to the spokes of my bike so it will make that lovely motor sound, they make great blinders stuck into your glasses to block out light when you need a cat nap, and I have heard they make GREAT temporary ninja stars just in case someone manages to tick you off.

I’m from germany, but for such a great offer I would pay the shipping.
I can’t afford advertising, so word-of-mouth from my customers is my main avenue for new clients. I give my business cards to current clients and ask them to share with friends. I’m nearly out of cards and my logo has changed since these were printed. I could really use a new stack!

I would like to enter this contest. I run a small freelance web and graphic design business by myself out of my home. At the time of the printing of my original business cards, I was new in field and didn’t respect the difference between RGB (which was what I am used to working in) and CMYK. As a result, my business cards (and the ones I still use) are not *quite* the correct colors as my logo and web site. Learning lesson number 4,562.
Promotion is the first step to success. If no one knows you’re there, then you’ll won’t easily be found….so thats exactly what i would use the cards to do!…and would really appreciat it also

It’s tough out there in the business world. I just want a card that my business prospects will remember. I don’t care about the quantity, as long as you can get them done right. I’m tired of poor printing quality and poor service. I just need a printing company that I can stick with for the rest of my business career.
