Very interesting article. It's is really hard to find a formula in becoming very successful and yes we have to learn from our experiences. And that is our key to success. It could take us time but it's worth to keep our patience.

Hey Dustin,
I'm glad you liked the article. Yeah, Court's series has been really good. His blog is one of my favorites.

Great article, definitely something I will be doing in the future. I have so many side projects going right now though that is hard to focus my attention on just one. I'm even testing out Court's sniping idea, but the content needed for my target keywords is a lot more then I originally intended so it is kind of on the back burner for other projects.

After 2 years of blogging and learning what works and what does not (and still learning, of course), I post less frequently across my 3 blogs and "seasonally" across my other sites which are targetted towards making money through adsense. As far as the 3 blogs are concerned, I am now writing more indepth posts compared to before and the results as far as readership and feed subscribers have been encouraging :D

Wayne,
You're absolutely right that "successful" is vague. In my opinion, being successful simply means achieving your own personal goals, whatever they may be, since we all have different reasons for blogging. Yes, time is certainly the biggest constraint here. But I think for those who want to make a full-time income online, duplicating what you have already learned is a great option to have. Thanks for your in-depth feedback. It's always appreciated.

Marko,
Thanks for sharing. What you are doing is exactly what I had in mind with this article. Now each time you learn something from your experiences you will be able to implement it for multiple blogs rather than just one.

Diana,
Very true, quality content will always be needed. I think that will get easier for you as time goes by.

I agree with you that you can duplicate a lot of things, but after you duplicate them, you still need time to write good content. And here I agree with Wayne Liew. I have now three blogs and what I've applied on 134u.com I can apply to other two blogs. But I still struggle with writing good content for 134u.com so I don't have time for the other two. Maybe when I'll improve my writing skills and I'll write easier than now, I'll have time to develop all my blogs.

Interesting article. I started my first blog some time ago in 2007 and very soon after that I realized that I would like to write another blog. After the stupid mistakes were done (learning by doing), I figured out that I should re-use some elements, such as blog design, marketing channels, advertising and affiliate partnerships, etc. Well, the result is that I am running three blogs right now from which 2 are much similar (http://homeboyski.com and http://homeboyastronomy.com).

So, what's the point? You probably noticed it already, I am building a blog network. As Wayne said above, it is not easy to manage several blogs and I also don't think running several blogs making $10 a day is reasonable. I believe in creating a healthy business and that requires time. I have estimated that I will be able to blog full time in the end of 2008. Naturally after that growth will be faster because I can work full days with my blogs.

Sorry if I made typos or I write poor English. I write fast at work and English is not my first languge..
