But I think the idea of a central authority website has potential as well, especially if you are building a long term strategy to build a truly useful and defensible product, something that you own full rights to that generates a hundred bucks per sale or more. Build up a single authority website, create a killer product, and just a small trickle of sales will result in a very nice business. Then introduce the affiliate program for it..... One thing I've done to control what type of ads are showing, other than adsense, is to create my own adsense-looking ads, but have my affiliate links embedded.
