Free Set of Hand-Drawn Icons

Published in Free Resources, Icons

Today we have a special free gift from our friend Damian Watracz. Damian has designed a number of awesome resources for Vandelay Premier, and today we have a set of icons that he has offered for free to readers of the Vandelay Design blog! The set includes 28 different icons all with a stylish hand-drawn look.

The icons come in PSD format (all in one PSD file). They are made of vector shapes so they can be re-sized and scaled to meet your needs. You can easily style the shape layers to change colors or add other effects.

I’m sorry for asking, and I wouldn’t have if I hadn’t spent the past 90 minutes searching for a solution.

I’m an Illustrator person and have not spent very much time in Photoshop. Your icons are excellent and I’d like to use them in a project I’m working on, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to extract the individual icons as vector images. Nothing is working out for me. Do you happen to have these as an AI or SVG? Or could you type a quick walkthrough on how I’d go about pulling these out to use them?

Steven Snell May 17th, 2013

Hi Michael,
The icons were designed and intended to be used in Photoshop. I would just use them (or any other PSD file) in Photoshop, so I don’t really have an answer for you. You may get the info that you are looking for from this page at Adobe’s site.
