Awesome post! Thank you for the resources! I do a lot of vintage/retro style designs (including my own website) so this post is going to come in handy! Thanks Vandelay!
I love this style. Haven’t used it for a while, but this has inspired me to start thinking about it again.
The Ernest Hemingway Collection is a great looking vintage site, truly fits with the personality of Hemingway.
Nice collection. Some oldies but some really good ones as well. Curious to know if the vintage trend is still hot or slowly dying away…?

Five Cent Stand (fivecentstand.com) is an automatic failure in my book because it intrusively resized my window.
Love them!
I am not a designer but a developer but they are certainly inspiring!
AWESOME post! I adulation best sites. Of the sites, nineteen47 is absolutely my favorite. Reminds me of childhood. Bookmarked for all the brushes and textures. Especially the map texture.
I like them alot. They are usually brightly colored or in black and white only. They are simple and easy to follow what you want. I think today, people can get, too creative and take away from what they want to sell. I like the way you all give both sides of the page for people to make up their own minds. Keep up the good work.
