25 Beautiful Travel and Tourism Websites

Published in Galleries

Websites in the travel industry often place an emphasis on the design and appearance because a good-looking site will hopefully draw more interest and excitement for the destination. Many of them also use nature-inspired designs (see last week’s post 35 Beautiful Web Designs Inspired by Nature for more examples). Here you’ll find some of the best websites from the travel and tourism industry.

What a incredible collection of websites! Very nice roundup. I love the UTAH site for it’s depth and texture. The typography in the tour dust site is also very successful. Thanks for putting this together, you guys always do a great job!

on the roadside heritage site i personally love the headline thats embossed into the sky which, of course, sits right below the logo that casts a shadow into the sky. very very amateur.

Web Templates August 2nd, 2010

Many of them seem to have a “wordpress” look very “square. It seems curves are less fashionable than they once were. I like the Ziara Safaris one.

I like the designs. It is very inviting and I believe that it makes people stay on my pages longer. Some people like plain and basic but, others like this. You have to try to meet the needs of all the people.

some great inspiration again for my website, http://www.tourofnorthindia.com/,
the sites in your list really taught me that a travel website should be about colours and adventure and making the user feel excited about visiting that place! Before I was trying to get the white and minimal look – not appropriate for travel websites I think! Thanks!

Mike Miller December 13th, 2011

Very cool – we do a lot of work in the travel and tourism space. I personally was the creative director on the Red Rock Ranch site. The other links you put up are brilliant. Great post – very useful for designers like myself in this space.

Cheers!
