None of these examples have a search box. If your talking minimal design your talking Google, and they have a search box.

I think search is a great way to cut down on clutter such as navigation.

These minimalist compilations are always my favorite, together with the ‘colorful websites’.
Thinking that, it makes me wonder if there are any sites out there that succesfully combine those. A colorful yet minimalistic design.
