Nice collection, thanks for sharing!
Some good stuff here, but I’m sick of seeing these introductions that go something along the lines of:
“Hi guys! My names Mike, I’m a super-awesome web developer and I create beautiful,
innovative, mind-blowing designs and apps and software and backgrounds and stuff! My work is AMAZING and you need me right now! I’m sooo good!”
It’s cringeworthy, preachy, and downright off putting. It’s also annoyingly contagious….
Ohh wow.. love the list…. some nice new ones I haven’t seen before as well!!
Great list if designs, I do have to say the wording on “Mark Hobbs” website is very, very annoying.
Very nice list, a few I havent seen yet are in there
Awesome selection! Love the Adham Dannaway one. Makes me want to go build a portfolio!
Very cool. I especially liked the way Adham Dannaway treated his left/right-side-of-the brain dilemma on his Home page. It’s something our own company sometimes struggles with. But they’re all nice.
Thank you, Vandelay, for this recognition. I am flattered to be amongst such excellent work!
Those are all awesome. I wish i was good with graphics i am the development type but thats what designers are for. Nice share thx.
Wonderful list. I love waht Pat Dryburgh did with the colours and almost minimal seeming design.
Some of the samples have (IMHO) a bit much text on the landing page (users like to scan, not read). VERY nice list all around, though.
Mr. Cassius’ is my favorite of the lot. His design is simple and has great contrast. I prefer more simple designs and UIs and a purple/black scheme is one I like. I’m a developer, not a designer, so good contrast always comes difficult for me.
I like David Hellmann’s
check the my coming soon page.
Katheryn’s site blew me away. I love it. Great collection here filled with awesome and fresh talent!
Michael Cassius and Adham Dannaway
I like the reduced vintage style of Peter Granfors.
thanks
So wonderful this list! amazing links! Thanks a lot! My preferite are: http://www.adhamdannaway.com/ so cool
http://www.petergranfors.com/ Magic watercolors effects!
http://www.kathryncorneli.us so cute, so clean.. really nice and delicate!
Wow a great collection of portfolio website! I’m a big fan of minimalist designs
All of them are great work!
take a look at mine, hopefully I make it to the list http://www.workoffahimmd.com
cheers!
Love the variety on here. Agree with most the comments on here about those large type introductions, but I also feel it’s good to let people know what they’re getting into from the get go. Being someone who just redesigned their portfolio site, I’m already inspired to start a new design.
WOAH, some immense examples here and it is making me wish I had a better one. Im going to redesign mine, I’ve decided.
Thanks for sharing, tweet me sometime : mgpwr
Thanks for the mention, It’s great to be amongst such talented designers. Thanks also for the nice comments too. It’s cool to be able to inspire others to build their own portfolio sites.
Adham Dannaway’s is excellent, being front end designer myself it definately gives good inspiration for when I come to create mine. Loving the artyness of Denise’s too, all really good sites though.
Great inspiration, and a horrible wake up call. Sometimes I feel like I need a job stacking boxes somewhere. Looking at these, it sort of feels like I’ve run out of fuel for design….
creativity at its best. I was thinking that my portfolio design is awesome but after watching these designs i think my portfolio needs a redesign
I think that your own portfolio is the hardest project you will ever do as a freelancer, so can appreciate the effort that has gone into these sites
Siminki,
I agree, designing for yourself can be a major challenge. You’ve done a great job with your portfolio site by the way.
I think Mark Hobbs needs to consider re-writing that copy. I understand that you have to big yourself up but that much????
Lovely collection of freelancer portfolio. I like it.
Wow great collection of works, thanks for sharing.
I’m and Independent Freelancer based out of Orange County, CA. Check my site out as well! Thanks!
