“Mouth-watering” probably isn’t a word you would think of using to describe web design, but that’s exactly the one that comes to mind when looking at these 35 sites inspired by and focusing on food.

New York-style hot dogs in London. Their cartoony dogs are so adorable you might not even want to eat them!

Woki Tokee
This site for what appears to be a Chinese/Mexican fusion restaurant features vibrant, cartoony images of their food all over the main page.

Gojee
So food-centric that when you go to this recipe site you are immediately treated to a gorgeous, page-filling image of a meal.

Pro Foods
No, it’s not revolutionary for a food company to feature their product on the website, but Pro Foods nicely includes attractive images of the fruits each of their Pro Ade Protein waters are flavored with as part of the pictures.

Foodspotting
This site for the food-recommending app is similar to Gojee in that it includes a big, gorgeous picture of a recipe on their main page, but they still manage to describe the product as well.

Benito’s Hat
Ripe, red tomatoes, fresh green cilantro, golden tortilla chips, and a watermelon cocktail paired together on the main page? I’m sold.

The Square Restaurant
How do you convince customers to shell out the big bucks as a fine dining establishment? Square’s amazingly vivid rotating food images on their homepage sure do help.

G’Nosh
This UK restaurant’s site is designed to look like a chalk menu board, but also includes delectable images of foods they serve mixed in.

Food, Inc.
One of the few sites on this list not selling food in some way, the site for the documentary Food, Inc. makes you think about food a bit differently (just like the movie) by immediately featuring an image of a cow stamped with a UPC label, and links to articles focusing on food.

With a name like that, you expect elegance and class, and that’s exactly what you get with images of foods, wines, and vineyards on a site dedicated to helping you pair food and wine together well.

Blush Organic Frozen Yogurt
You might be forgiven for thinking Blush’s product looks quite a bit like Pinkberry, but they get points in foodie web design by displaying the individual ingredients that go in their yogurt and pairing foods together in a way that’s visually appealing.

Speaking of frozen yogurt, this site not only has pretty images of their food, but smartly uses colors on the site to complement the dishes.
