A great idea for a showcase. With these type of community and social media websites being such a dominant force in the internet world its great to see a collection like this. It’s interesting to see the variety in design styles here from a fairly standard layout such as Buzznet to the slightly more image and icon based designs such as Carbonmade and Face 2 Face. I think looking through community websites such as these can give you a fascinating look into the world of different sections of society. I think ‘Art in My Coffee’ has to be my favourite here, not because of its design particularly (although the design of it is very good) but just because its such a bizarre yet brilliant idea for a site.

There are some absolutely brilliant designs for a really interesting selection of communities. I especially love the ‘Sweet Hat Club’ it gave me a giggle at the amount of people out there who love hats! The design is pretty cool too! More of these smaller interesting examples would be great, we have all already seen ‘Dribble’ and ‘Last FM’ and a few others before now and already appreciate their designs.
