Great post! I love dark websites 2
Some really good sites there. I particularly like the Lucky Rabbit Films website, especially the logo they have.
Greatful…I search in this days a good collection for create a new site with dark colours. Thanks a lot!
What do you think about that one: http://www.creativemashup.pl
Is is worth it to change it to white design ?
Nice list. My site has a dark theme, it was a bit darker but every time I revamp the theme I seem to get a a shade lighter overall.
I love dark themes. Some of these are really beautiful. I might just use one of these for my site.
Dark websites are nice. They provide a nice change from the pedestrian sites. Thanks for the post! This was fun to look at!
Your collections of websites are always the best. Can’t wait for part V.
I love dark themes,it’s very nice..
Lovely collection. I am very partial to dark themes myself. I really like Kinetic Kreations. His site is hot!
A great collection in deed, but some people don’t like to read dark pages. But personally, I like them. Nice work there buddy.
Chris,
Yes, there are definitely some down sides to a dark background. I think generally they are not good for content-heavy sites.
I would be very happy if you took a look at my site which happens to be black
I won’t publish a link in the comment cause I am not looking to gain visits.
I am really asking for your opinion, if you have 5 minutes.
cheers,
Alfred
I love the dark themes – look so stylised. Here’s a Formula 1 one http://www.lewishamilton.com/ and a property one http://www.futurelet.org/ as well as our own one at http://www.blackkatz.com.
The images show up so well too.
It is nice to see how people are definitely getting away from boring whites and clear website designs. In my opinion, all the sites you have featured in the article have a much more glamorous look.
FYI nue-media.com version2 has launched – so your screenshot is out of date
Really great Collections……..
Looking with more Ideas,
Thanks
Nice collection of Dark themes, i like it…

Beautifully designed themes – thanks for sharing!:)
Problem I find with dark website is the difficulty of reading text. The example here are heavy image based and with lots of colour which works well, not sure I’d want a dark coloured website for a blog though, thanks for sharing.
Reynolds,
Yes, most people would agree with you. It works well for portfolio sites but not always so practical for text-heavy sites.
Wow they are really cool. I liked In2media .. that’s awesome theme
OK, so initially I thought that these designs will be too old, and then you surprised me with really great looking designs. I am Rob, I do local website designs in Johannesburg South Africa, and I have to content with two problems with dark website designs. Convincing clients to step out of their comfort zone, and then trying to work with images that are designed for “white”. And to admit the truth I struggle more with my designing skills. Still I have been inspired here. Thanks. Off to play with some dark designs
