An offline resource I recommend is:
The Non Designers Type Book by Robin Williams
This book is full of the bare essentials of typography. It is VERY easy to read and a MUST HAVE for anyone starting out in typography.
I would also recommend Typography Resources Every Designer Should know.
There is no end to the amount of information on typography on the internet. Thanks for doing the leg work of gathering them.

Fantastic resource, certainly gets my thumbs up! However, I’d change the title to just 101 Typography Resources for Designers as you don’t want anyone thinking that you can just use these fonts for body text on a site…
Great list. Ah, but how to choose the one or two fonts that you like the best?!
Great list! Stumbled and Dugg!

Great link. Thanks for share !
This is a great article. But more articles related to the topic are in order. Searching for serif returns only one article (this one).
What is your take on serif vs. sans-serif? Which one is more suited for the web? Also which one is more suited for body text? What factors you kept in mind when redesigning vandelaydesign.com?
sry. I meant “..while choosing sans-serif for vandelaydesign.com…”
But more articles related to the topic are in order. Searching for serif returns only one article (this one).

Bye,
Salmo69
Typography is very important in a website. It can make or break content in my opinion. Nonetheless, great list of resources (:
this is a totally awesome & massive list of amazing resources, thanks for posting! i just love type.
unless i missed it before, there is another site for good reference:
http://www.allfontz.com
it’s basically an a-z listing of all available free fonts which may help users out, though it helps if you know the font name in order to narrow search results quicker…(mac and pc display the coded website differently in terms of placement which may throw off usability while browsing the site, but is a good resource just the same).
enjoy font finding!
Just what I’ve been looking for! Thanks for this great list of fonts. I’m always looking for new sites to find free fonts and I will have to bookmark this because I will come back to visit each site.
Great designs..
Wowww!! This is what I’m looking for. I want to improve my typography skill.
Big thanks and Big Kiss
OK Stop it. You’re making everyone else look bad. Once again, what a resource!
