These are AWESOME effects, but it never mentions if the quality of the photo has to be good before it is edited?
Yes, the quality of the picture is going to be a factor in the end result. However, some of these are created without any pictures, just created from scratch with PS.

i totally agree with the comments ‘coz the things that are posted in here look so cool and i’m encouraged to do my own. Everytime i look at pictures like these, i feel jealous and i’d search for tutorials that will help me achieve these things. Now, I’m editing more pics and I’m happy that those who have seen it were really impressed. They never thought that my pics were edited.

Nice work, the lighting is rendered very well – this is from a real life lighting designer. One thing: if you go too far into the artistic realm beyond the natural qualitites of light it will look unrealistic. If you ever in Miami come visit us – we have a black box real life lighting tutorial which we will be happy to demonstrate

beautiful collection! these effects are amazing and look so good, but sometimes it is rather difficult to make them in PS, so I use Flame Painter program, have you heard about it ? it makes all thouse abstract images and light effects easily, so I don’t have to “sweat” in PS
