  • Nitish S Murty, July 7, 2010

I’ve used Chopin Script, it looks real good on Brochures. Gondola, Arabella & Tangrine are really good. English is Simple and Classy. I likes :)

Wonderful list and more importantly beautiful scripts. Although these have all been around awhile, they are free classics in their own right.

If you want more premier and exclusive script fonts or fonts in general, check out the pilo.me typography forum, it is bar none a leading site for typography. i would call it the dribble of typography mixed in with the discussions of typophile. thanks again for the delightful read. i am always impressed by these collective lists no matter how overdone.

  • Sara, November 26, 2012

I wish that instead of suggesting a bunch of free for personal use, crappy script fonts, you could suggest a number of high-quality and reasonably priced fonts. Breathe Pro is very reasonably priced considering all the alternates and swashes that come with it. Impallari’s Kaushan Script is a great brush lettering style font available for free. Bellucia Pro is reasonable and very stylish.

    This list is incredibly lazy.

      Sara,
Feel free to publish your own list if you’d like.

  • philip, December 6, 2012

scriptina, eutemia e chopin are horrible. why this fonts are best?

  • Excellent post. I used to be checking constantly this blog and I am inspired! Very helpful information specially the remaining phase :) I take care of such info much. I used to be seeking this certain info for a long time. Thank you and good luck.

  • Time Education, July 10, 2013

Great minds think alike. I have been experimenting with several of these fonts over the past few months. Windsong and Quilline Script are very well done. I also like Freebooter, but the kerning is awkward. Not a problem since we should all be addressing tracking and kerning in everything we do, but still, it is weird.

I am definitely going to have to play with some of these others! Thanks for sharing.
