There are some great choices here and it was hard who to decide who to vote for. Good luck to them all!

…and I thought the choices were tough earlier on in the competition!
Some of these matchups were almost impossible for me to call.

After three votes I realized I was always in the minority as to which site had the best design, so I decided that I would make my choice and then guess which design I thought others would choose.
I was wrong every time.
Does this mean I’m a failure as a designer? I’ve always suspected as much:)

@Wag: I think everyone judges a design with their own set criteria and just because yours doesn’t match what most people think is great, doesn’t mean you are a failure. Cheer up! The competition is meant to spark some insight and inspiration, more than make you feel bad.
Personally I judge a design by going with my gut, which takes about less than two seconds. If you asked me why I liked a particular design or not, I would have to think about it and draw reasons based on my conclusion of whether I thought it was great or not. It works pretty much backwards and there is no hard science on the matter.

Wags,
Like Vinh said, it’s really just a matter of opinion. There’s nothing wrong with not fitting into popular opinions. I’ve been surprised a number of times throughout this friendly competition.

Even though we didn’t make it further in the competition it’s nice to be in the Sweet 16. Thanks for including us in the contest and keep up the great work. I’ve had you guys in my feeds for a while now.

Some very difficult decisions there, and some great designs, good luck to all the entrants.
