35 Excellent Church Websites – Part Two

Several months ago I published 50 of the Best Church Websites, which has been one of the more popular posts on the blog. Since I published that collection I’ve come across many other noteworthy church sites, so I thought I would add a second post on the topic.

We are a small to medium church in need of a new website — this list and your first list has been a great resource for us as we decide what we want the site to look like. Thank you!

If I may make a suggestion: http://www.fbchammond.com. They got a new website up just a few months ago, and it is a tremendous website. Has a lot of resources, the design is very crisp, clean, and professional, and also includes a mobile website, which they just released on January 1 (m.fbchammond.com).

Please take a look at it, and see if it is worth mentioning in your next article.

    GREAT DESIGNS

  • Rebecca, April 28, 2009

I’m writing a church website, and remembering this awesome post I naturally came here for inspiration. I hadn’t noticed before that nearly every single example has a dynamic rather than a static homepage.
Thinking realistically about my clients’ staffing and level of technological confidence, I’m sadly waiting for someone to post a new gallery: Beautiful church websites with static homepages.

    Very good.
    Great designs.
These are great ideas for the website (http://lacosechacr.org/) and blog (http://lacosechacr.org/blog) of my church.

    What about http://www.lds.org?
    Nice design and typography.

  • Teri, July 1, 2009

What you can’t see on this web site is the massive members list. To honor privacy… an entire section was added that only members can see after being approved by a church deacon or pastor. It is a web ministry to those searching for a church home as well as those already regularly attending Timber Ridge. I really love our site and find it to be a very useful tool!

  • Stephen Costello, July 23, 2009

  • John, September 2, 2009

These designs are really good. They attract/remind the faithful to pay their churches a visit plus other benefits. But If all churches would be required to have one, then in the near future, would most church services be availed at the comfort of our homes? At least those that don’t require physical contact. Just a thought.

  • Ted, November 22, 2009

Good design going on here, but very few actually succeed in connecting people to the church. They’re still using the “site-as-online-brochure” motif, rather than use the site as a connecting point.

  • Roy, November 27, 2009

One of the most common threads I’ve seen in these church websites is their distinct ability to showcase a part of the church’s personality. Church website design should always be clean and to the point, yet giving all the information both the member and visitor. Keep those church websites coming in. http://www.camnio.com/features.html

  • seo, December 23, 2009

It is really amazing what kind of services they can now offer through a great design.
    thank very much.

  • Great designs again its a big help to have so many in one place
